Read the Signs

So many of us fall into the same traps. We find a new reason to start an exercise “craze”. We read blogs and magazine articles and use those workouts for our own. We research and we dissect, yet we aren’t doing the most basic of requirements…reading our own body and limitations. What works for some, does not work for others. There are so many different builds, body requirements, needs, wants, etc. How can we fit into a “mold” of a workout? Easily put, we can’t.

Even as I post all of the articles, videos, techniques, and tools – you have to modify to suit your own body. I could post a thousand articles about running – but if you aren’t a runner, you won’t be able to do those workouts and see the results you were hoping to see. I could post articles about nutrition and how eating fish is great for a healthy lifestyle – for me, that would never work. I hate fish. So, that being said, read your body. Know what works for you and what doesn’t.

Healthy tip #1 – don’t be discouraged when you see results are happening for other people and not you. It just means you haven’t found the balance that your body is seeking. Your body is your top trainer – it tells you when  to push forward and when you need a break. Listen to yourself and the signs and you’re sure to succeed.
